Our journey
November 2019
- Ordered a laser without knowing what we were doing, but we knew that we wanted to create personalized products for life’s special moments (births, weddings, anniversaries).
- Had to wait 3 months for it to get here and then covid pushed it out another 3 months that gave us time to remodel our garage to have a dedicated space for the business.
January to May 2020
Managed to not get Covid and panicked about making such a big purchase and not having any revenue coming in from the business… bought lots of materials!
June 2020
Our laser finally arrived… gulp… it’s huge and how do you even turn it on!?
August 2020
Finally got someone to come out and train us on how to use the laser
September 2020
- Launched our shop on Etsy and had no clue what we were doing!
- First night on Etsy a Customer purchased and we panicked!
- How do we make it?
- How do we package and ship it?

Got married, middle of covid, masks and all at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum what our closest family and friends
The rest of 2020
He sales kept coming and we couldn’t handle the volume in our 2 car garage, 3 storage units and small 2 bedroom town home. What have we gotten ourselves into?
November 2020
Signed a lease on a 2200 sqft warehouse and moved everything to the new space while juggling 75+ orders a day
December 2020
Bought a house, moved in the middle of winter in Minnesota, why!?
January 2021
Added a cnc router, panel saws, dust collector, bigger compressor and other equipment to keep up with demand and started catering materials and wholesale products to other makers and sellers. This space filled up fast…
June 2021
Had a baby, grew our girl tribe
August 2021
The shop flooded, ruined all of our material and the only thing that survived were the machines…worst timing ever but we had to restock and rebuild to keep up with the holiday rush
2021
Tripled our sales from 2020, we’re gonna need more space! Started looking for an even bigger space to expand the shop, add more equipment and grow, grow, grow!
Feb 2022
Signed a lease to expand into a 6200sqft warehouse
Feb to July of 2022
Bought a forklift, bought another forklift, and truckloads of materials and lots of equipment that cost more than our home!
Year 2022
2022 was another record year of growth and we started to branch out into more wholesale products for other makers and sellers; cutting boards, laser materials, wood blanks
June 2023
Added another little girl to the mix, 17 days in the NICU, not easy to run a business and live at the hospital for 2.5 weeks!

Had to say goodbye to our shop dog Morgan aka Shop Security
